Turn On Windows Update Windows 10

In the services window scroll down to windows update and turn off the service.

Turn on windows update windows 10. But there is a workaround to turn off automatic updates in windows 10. For windows 10 select the start screen then select microsoft store. To turn it off right click on the process. Choose check for updates if you want to check the updates manually.

On the services screen right click on windows update and click on properties. Notify for download and auto install or in the configure automatic updating drop down menu under options click tap on ok and go to step 8 below. Next select advanced options and then under choose how updates are installed select automatic recommended. Go to the start button then settings update security windows update.

Follow the steps below 1 search for services msc in cortana search box and open it. 2 click tap on windows update on the left side and click tap on the advanced options link on the right side. Right click on the start button and click on run. Under app updates set update apps automatically to on. On windows update properties screen click on start type down arrow and select disabled option.

In run command window type services msc and click on ok. See screenshot below 4 when finished you can close settings if you like.
